And slurpee rained to earth from on high
A plague to vex all of man kind
I start my trek to meet the man
Who refused to call a delay

I take a step off of my porch
And follow along the sidewalk
Wading through the slurpee rising
Ignoring the cry of my soles

The tide washes over my shoes
They fend it off as best they can
But from the sky its reinforced
Before too long the tide will win

The walls are breached, the tide still flows
Reserves now rush to stem the rout
But they are soft and poorly trained
The tide, my socks, they are soaked through

Slurpee now coats all that I see
And still pervades my own stronghold
My shoes and socks are compromised
And now my feet are cold, wet -- dead
