A willingness to know
To share an emotion
What is it you know eh
Can you know what its like
To want someone so much it hurts
Someone who threw you to the curb
Someone who you were warned against
Someone you ignored the warnings about
Someone you believe was better
Better than the rumors
The cutting, biting rumors
And to find a bit of yourself in this person
To cultivate it and find it and enjoy it
Just to have it evaporate under you |
